The Alhambra Hamel Ministerial Alliance was formed in 2006 to bring aid to those with specific need in our community. Area Churches have long been a blessing to the traveler fallen on need for a meal or a tank of gasoline. Four area churches have allied to bring a fuller, more bountiful ministry by sharing of resources, ideas, and information. The allied churches are: Immanuel UCC of Hamel, St. Paul Lutheran of Hamel, Salem UCC of Alhambra, and Eastside Community Church of Hamel. Eastside Community Church also hosts on its grounds in the white building the Bread of Life Food Pantry sponsored by the alliance.
Our vision continues to expand, as new ways are sought to bring the message of hope to others. We look for our community residents to help guide those in need to the Alliance and especially the food pantry, and we look for guidance for us and help for us from those same community residents.
The Alhambra Hamel Ministerial Alliance is incorporated. Donations are tax deductible.
Any community resident can join the alliance, and volunteers are always needed for the Bread of Life Food Pantry and for Alliance activities to raise funds and bring awareness of the Alliance services to our area.
The Bread of Life Food Pantry is open on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Most of us have fallen on a time of need in some fashion or another. We know what it feels like to need help and be helped. Whether giving or receiving, we are blessed.
The scope of the Alliance ministry is limited to specific needs, usually immediate while referring some needs to sources more suited to working through complex, longer term issues.
